This Snorlax is my illustrated take on the Snorlax VMAX (141/202) from the Sword & Shield Base Set, the card that introduced Gigantamax Snorlax to the TCG. The original card by 5ban Graphics shows Snorlax in his Gigantamax form, with a tree growing out of his belly and fruit scattered around, looking absolutely thrilled to be even bigger and even cozier than usual.
The Gigantamax Snorlax design is iconic for one specific reason: it leans into the joke. Everyone knew Snorlax was big, so when Game Freak made him bigger, they doubled down on the "tree grows out of him" gag. The TCG art committed to it, and the result is one of the most lovable Gigantamax cards in the franchise.
If you've always been a Snorlax person, this is the most maximal version of him.
