Our Origin Story

Hi! My name is Kelly, and I’ve been an avid collector of Pokémon cards since I was a little girl. In 2020, I began streaming pack openings and wished I had matching memorabilia beside ETBs and plushies. One day as I visited my local card shop, I noticed gigantic posters of Yugioh! cards on the walls and asked the owner if such posters existed for Pokémon. Surprisingly, he said no. I began to look online for large posters replicating my favorite trading cards, and couldn’t seem to find anything.

In my day-to-day, I am a product designer and web developer, and my weakest skill had always been illustrating. That’s when it hit me. Maybe I should practice my illustration skills and make the posters myself!

At the time, Evolving Skies was the newest expansion, and I was obsessed with the alt art cards of Eeveelutions. I began with Umbreon and Espeon drawing abstract shapes, which eventually grew into more intricate shapes and 1000+ different layers per poster.

Once I had a few posters that I was proud of, it was time to make a store. On TikTok I learned about print-on-demand shops, so I designed and developed a custom website that could integrate with a third party. It was smarter to not have any overhead as I wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested in my posters. Low-and-behold other Pokefans took notice and also wanted to show off their favorites.

In August 2023, we had our first booth at Anime Days’ Artist Alley and had the absolute best time meeting other Pokefans and new vendor friends. It was so heartwarming sharing stories and helping others bring their favorite Pokémon art to their homes.

Today, I’m actively making posters in my spare time and am on the hunt for new conventions in California. DM us if there’s a pocket monster that you’d like to be illustrated, and I will do my best to make it happen.
