This Lucario is my illustrated take on the Lucario VSTAR (SWSH291) from the Sword & Shield Promo set. The original card shows Lucario in mid-attack, Aura Sphere blazing in his paws, eyes locked on a target, that perfect coiled-spring stance fans of the franchise know by heart.
Lucario is one of those Pokémon whose design just works every time. Steel/Fighting type, Aura user, anime protagonist energy, he's been a fan favorite since Diamond and Pearl and the TCG keeps finding new ways to draw him at his most heroic. This VSTAR variant is one of the most dynamic, action-coded versions out there.
